I started in the resort
real estate business with my dad in Stuart Florida in 1973 at the newly
built Yacht and Country Club of Stuart. My father, Roy Reid, had just
retired from the U.S. Air Force and I was at that time teaching in a
Community College in Palatka and Orange Park, Florida. I quickly came to
love the resort real estate business and became a Florida certified
general contractor in 1974 and a licensed Florida real estate broker in
1979.
Having earlier worked diligently
for my university MBA degree I decided to enter the corporate real
estate arena and specialize in the resort side of the business. I joined
Fairfield Communities in early 1980 at Fairfield Harbour, North
Carolina. Timeshare vacations had just started to be developed in the
U.S. in the late 1970s. Since those early days I have been
involved in timeshare new sales, resales, construction, and development.
In fact, I am still involved in
all aspects of the vacations and resort real estate business which is
part of the reason our firm has such a broad range of prospects,
marketing programs, and strategic broker alliances to successfully
market and sell your Fairfield FairShare Plus Vacation Club points in
the least amount of time with the most dollars going into your pocket.
I, as many others, sincerely LOVE
the Fairfield resorts. I so vividly remember the special Magic...
from my days as a sales manager at Fairfield Harbour when my son Scott
had just been born, to the earliest lock-out rental villas at Sapphire
Valley when Scott, and my second son Ryan, skied near those River Run
Villas.
